Ivy Rayne

“The feet may learn the steps, but only the spirit can dance”.

It was something that was said to Ivy as a child, but the words never found true meaning until much later in life. Ivy’s journey into the arts started with ballet at a young age, adding in Contemporary dance in her teens. It wasn’t long before she sought to move that dance into the air, starting with Pole Dancing, moving to Aerial Silks, and finally getting completely lost in the world of Circus both in the air and on the ground. Ivy has a love for creativity, drawing on her extensive experiences and bringing them together to produce unique acts.

She placed 2nd Runner-Up in the WA Pole Championships Amateur division 2016, and 2nd Runner-Up in the Professional division the following year.

She now coaches and performs with Kinetica Circus, and can often be found hanging out in the air in the Silks, Lyra or Cube, or on the ground spinning Hula Hoops, Leviwand, throwing a Rope Dart around, lighting things on fire, or just looking for new things to try.

Anthony & Fay

Anthony and Fay met performing at FRINGE WORLD in 2015, only to end up falling in love and spending the coming years cultivating their performing craft together.
Fay practiced gymnastics in her youth, later rediscovering the love for acrobatics in her adult years through pole and circus arts. When she was enamoured by her pole practice, she placed first in her amateur debut in 2017 and also won miss pole WA 2019.

Anthony has spent the majority of his adult life learning, practicing and teaching different movement practices. After a decade of traveling the world to improve his physical ability and knowledge, he found himself falling in love with circus and performance. The result of these two lovebirds is a unique blend of movement, acrobatics, dance and aerial circus

Her performing background began with ethnic dance during her primary years, from where she further ventured in exotic dance, adult gymnastics, pole dance, modelling, personal training and acting. Training is her therapy and she appreciates the simple pleasures of life. Her ideal day is just to be able to wake up, have a coffee and train. At 12 she began performing live, developing her skills as a singer & guitarist throughout hundreds of local gigs both acoustically and with bands. At age 14 Claudia was nominated for WAM Song of The Year Award with an original acoustic demo, and it was around this time she started her YouTube channel which has accumulated over 1.5 Million views. Claudia's catchy melodies and honest lyrics have gathered her an international audience online.

In 2017 Claudia released her debut 6 song EP titled Fugitive, recorded and mixed by Australian producer Eddie Parise.

Claudia followed this up in 2018 with pop single Get Out of My Head, mastered by Grammy award winning Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound. The songs production and quality saw it receive radio airplay throughout Australia.

Claudia's 2019 single Phantom was a step-up in production and musicianship, mastered in Nashville TN by Greg Calbi. Phantom charted on Triple J Unearthed at #2 on the overall chart and #2 on the Pop chart, and had national radio play. The country song set the tone for her future releases, and shown what Claudia is capable of as a country artist.

Claudia’s latest single Attention peaked at number 12 in the Kix Country Radio Hottest 20 in 2020.

The song’s melodic hooks have captured an international audience, gaining thousands of streams worldwide on its release week.

Claudia’s first headline show with her full band in Perth in August 2019 was packed out by hundreds of people at The Civic Hotel, followed by her single launch in March 2020 at The Rosemount with an even bigger turnout. Paige Savill

Perth’s effervescent vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and showstopping performer, PAIGE SAVILL, has been bringing life to stages across the state for over a decade.

Inspired by larger-than-life icons in pop culture, she curated a voice and image of her own and uses her platforms to raise awareness for causes like animal cruelty, human injustice and mental health. One place you will find her consistently delivering imaginative energy is on her Instagram where she regularly shares unique and ever-changing fashion/makeup creations to her 30,000 followers.

Having accumulated a plethora of performance awards at a young age and recognising the toxicity often present within the industry, Savill now brings a wealth of knowledge to female and non-binary youth as a regular volunteer for Girls Rock! WA. Through garnering attention in her synth-pop outfit, I Call Val, with two WAM Award Nominations (including “Most Popular Live Performance”), and support slots for touring acts (like Tonight Alive, The Faim, Theory of a Deadman & Redhook), as well as personal accolades including selection in WA’s first APRA AMCOS female singer/songwriter mentorship program, she has been able to give back to young artists and support herself fulltime.

It’s mighty fortunate this sonic chameleon loves what she does, because her workweek consists of content creation, energetic songwriting and rehearsals for her first pop/punk solo voyage, Alex Andra, while her weekends are packed tight with tasty, acoustic cover gigs with her duo, Trouvaille, in addition to her rarer and pulse-escalating Paramore tribute experiences in Paraless . Performing to any number of folks is delivered with warmth, excitement and a lifetime of passion as Paige Savill turns every moment in the spotlight into an unforgettable fruition of art!

Jordan Zindani portrait

Jordan Zindani

Perth based musician JORDAN ZINDANI has been performing in Perth’s music scene for the last 8 years. Jordan started playing music from a young age learning Piano, Viola and Singing which lead to playing in school orchestras and choirs. In 2009 she attended Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Education Studies).

In 2010 she started working at WEMA West End Music Academy as a singing teacher, where she realised her dreams of singing in a band. She took the opportunity to play Keyboard in one of WEMA’s graduated bands "Madam Montage" in 2014, which then lead to her also singing in the band. After a few years of "Madam Montage" gigging around Perth, Geraldton and Kalbarri, the band ended in 2016. Jordan still had the passion to be singing on stage, so when the opportunity came in 2017 to fill in with another local cover band, “The Padlocks”, she jumped at the chance. After a few fill in gigs, they asked her to be a permanent member in the band. "The Padlocks” gigged around Perth’s iconic live music venues such as, The Mustang Bar, Newport Hotel(Fremantle) and The Saint (Scarborough) for a few years before they decided to go their separate ways.

After “The Padlocks” Jordan decided to release her original music which she had been quietly writing for many years. She released her debut single “Feel This” in May 2019 which received a great reaction, so she decided to continue releasing more of her songs. So far she has three singles out including “Don’t U Dare” (2020) and her latest release, “Whirlwind Romance” (2021), both of which were recorded and produced with her current colleague at WEMA, Jukebox Moneypants.

Jordan enjoys all aspects of releasing music, including the visual side, having created and performed in her own music videos for “Feel This” and “Whirlwind Romance” with Perth’s up and coming production company, Gordonco Visuals.

Since taking some time off from gigging around Perth, she has now joined two new bands and is ready to get back on the stage. "The Stringbirds” is a new acoustic corporate cover band, featuring a collection of highly experienced musicians from diverse backgrounds, and “Juniper” a new cover band who will be playing at Perth local Bars. Jordan is set to release her fourth single mid 2021.

TAG portrait

TAG is not just about acting. We pride ourselves in creating a supportive atmosphere where the students can be themselves, to create, develop, follow their passion and become a cohesive unit whereby, as is often the case in life, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

TAG meets one Saturday a month, 11am – 2pm, exploring different aspects of theatre, for example; improvisations, scene work, directing, voice, mime, mask, stage combat and acting for film. Plus an annual production.

We were formed in 2014, with membership going from strength to strength. With the support of Garrick Theatre, fees are low $30 per calendar year, opening up inclusive opportunities for all. Many of our productions have been directed or co-directed by students. Their creativity and dedication are a testament to them. We strongly encourage the students to become a part of the theatre on stage and off and to aim high.

Natalia Smith is the TAG's Choreographer, and her life revolves around theatre and dance. Starting off in a variety of roles within Teens at Garrick’s (TAG) One Act shows, she was cast in Garrick Theatre’s The Way of The World, directed by Raymond Omodei, in 2018. Later that year, she was awarded one of two scholarships by her dance school Irina Asotoff Ballet School. Since then, she has studied acting and dance through short courses at WAAPA and worked on multiple productions. These include TAG’s Agatha Rex as chorus and as choreographer (2019); Murdoch Theatre Company’s Alice: Through the Looking Glass as Alice (2019); Yirra Yaakin’s collaboration with WAYTCO as a part of the Ngalaka Daa Ensemble (2020); Garrick Theatre’s The Hound of the Baskervilles as chorus mentor (2020) and 2021 has been a busy year, with Marloo Theatre’s Robin Hood: A Pantomime as dance captain and supporting chorus; Garrick Theatre’s Clue On Stage as the maid, Yvette. Natalia directed TAG’s 2021 production, Trap, which was very successful.
